13th August - Since my colleague is fetching me to the airport, thus, I stayed over at my friend's house the night before. On that night itself, I was pretty confused about leaving to Brunei since I'll be spending 4 days alone. Moreover, I felt pretty lost when I knew I had to spend my weekends alone, when I used to spend it with my friends. Anyway, I left my friend's house at 6.40am, and reached the airport at 7am. We had burger king for breakfast, did some admin stuffs before leaving for Brunei at 10.25am. We arrived at Brunei 2 hours later, safe and sound. There were escorts and numerous police vehicles bringing us to our Hotel (Sheraton Hotel) - I felt so much like a VVIP then. Since it was the first day at Brunei, we toured around the small town after unpacking our stuffs. We visited the museum, toured around the shopping mall, visited the night market, and had movie marathon before our sleep. Not forgetting to mention, all three meals provided were buffets. We were all treated like Kings!
14th August - The second day in Brunei. I received numerous smses/calls from my friends. I'm starting to miss them. Nevertheless, I managed to stay focus during the entire trip. We woke up early for breakfast, before heading to one of the training grounds for Badminton practices. I had a friendly game with my mdm. Thereafter, since it was the 1st day of the Brunei sales, we toured around the shopping mall (again), and I bought 2 pairs of shoes (1-for-1). Then, headed back to the hotel to get some rest before proceeding to the stadium for Soccer final. Several hiccups took place - the plagues were carved wrongly. We had to look for alternative to get it done. We spent 2 hours looking for a shop that specialises in carving. Thank god we found it, or we'll be in deep shit. Then.. headed back to the hotel for more movie marathons!
15th August - All the final games took place today, and we had to attend every single one of it. We won the Soccer game, but we lost the Badminton, Golf, and Netball games. It was a friendly game too - an event where it forges friendship. It was about evening after everything ended. Thereafter, we went back to the hotel, get ourselves changed into formal attire, and attended the farewell dinner organized by the Royal Bruneiian Police.
16th August - The day everyone is looking forward to, the last day in Brunei. We woke up early in the morning at 4, packed our stuffs, and headed to the Airport since the flight's at 7.45am. I befriended a few of the Bruneiian people, and I missed the carefree life we had. We bidded farewell to them, and reached SG at 9.45am. My mom, aunt and uncle came to fetch me from the Airport. I have to say - I enjoyed myself at Brunei, and it's my first-time setting foot in that country.
Night Safari Trip (19th August)
An outing with my love ones - Ked, Lincoln, Mon, and Edison. We had dinner at one of the restaurants (I think it's Bongo), before embarking on an adventurous trip around Night Safari. Throughout the trip itself, it was fun-filled with laughters, scares, and the occasional 'Wows'. It took us 2 hours on the walking trail, and since we covered almost all of the trails (except the one with the trams), we decided to hop on the tram. The entire journey lasted for 3 hours, and I'm back home by 12 plus. The next outing we're planning to head to: KTV! =)
