Somewhere around the end of july, all other bloggers who got selected to attend the event gathered at Brewerkz, a cafe along the sea at Clarke Quay. (that's also the place we forged our bonds!)
I never regretted attending the event because that is where I met good friends like Fidelis, RuiTing, Ivan, and Jeramy! Not forgetting Jiaqi who appeared at the YOG concert too! :)
Right after the briefing at Brewerkz, we were tasked to write an entry on the "Samsung SYOG Human Torch", which was a big wow to me because I've never seen something like this before.
There's nothing beat the spirits of all these students who were given the honour to witness the commemoration of the first-time-ever-held event, Youth Olympic Games that was hosted in Singapore! And those were the people who made up the Human Torch. Magnificent, isn't it?
Then.. Somewhere along mid August, we were again invited to a concert held at "The Promontory at Marina Boulevard", as VVIP this time! This second event that bring us all bloggers together turn out to be an unforgettable one. It's people like them who made the event a success!

Of course, the main highlight of the evening is to be able to gain an up-close view of the famous Kpop Group - 4 Minutes & B2ST.
It was my first time attending such concert and the atmosphere was so immense. It blew me away!
And if I remember correctly, 1 or 2 days after the mini-concert, we were again invited to the opening of YOG Opening Ceremony.
YES! A FREE VISA CARD WITH LYO ON IT! (I'm so gonna activate this card and flash it around at dining places. *Grins*)
Talking about this, it made a fool out of me because.. (If you have been reading my blog, you should know the reason why.)
The finale of the opening ceremony is this! 204 countries gathered at the floating platform, making this historical event a success!
This is included in one of the fondest memories because..
#1- It's the first time I got myself exposed to all the countries name that I've never heard of!
#2- Fidelis, Ruiting, Alton & I totally went crazy over this. We were cheering for most of the countries. Ain't we patriotic attendees?! HAHAHA.
Yes. The two flags- Singapore's (the first time this event was held, and we were given the opportunity to), as well as the Olympic's (which is the significant symbol for YOG)
The grand finale of the evening's ceremony, which was so mesmerizing and heart warming knowing that one of our athlete lighted the Olympic Flame, making the YOG a dream come true for Singapore!
I'm absolutely sure many of you will never forget such moment. It's too nice to be missed.. (Too bad for those who had the opportunity to attend this event but did not turn up)
OH OH OH! I HAVE TO SAY.. THE FIREWORKS AT THE YOG OPENING CEREMONY WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST I'VE EVER SEEN.
*BOOM BOOM BOOOOOOM*
With Singapore obtaining 2 silvers and 5 bronzes during the YOG, this marks the closure of the event; an event that Singapore is proud of; an event that was held for the first time; an event that Singapore was given the opportunity to..
KUDOS TO YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES 2010! AND THANK YOU SAMSUNG & 24SEVEN FOR GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND ALL THESE EVENTS!
