Inauspicious number to begin with, but that ain't gonna deter me from blogging about this..
Responsibility- being answerable or accountable, as for something within one's power, control, or management.
It's yet again another incident at my workplace that gave me the inspiration to blog about this. Now now, I'm beginning to love my work place more (w/o the sucky management), and also the wonderful colleagues who couldn't stop asking about my sexual orientation knowing that I'm bi. Oh well..
It isn't the first time I'm telling my worker, ABC that he had to submit his time card to me for verification. On one occasion, my manager informed all workers to submit their time card to me if they knock off at 5pm, since I'll be in the office till 5.15pm. Three days ago, I told the same worker to bring his time card to me, but he never did. In addition to this, his performance at work wasn't up to expectation, and since he ended work at 5pm today, I've decided to do a random check on him, and I got shocked when I saw the time card; it wasn't signed since 16th September. I flared up immediately and gathered all the workers to bring their time card to me. To my surprise, all the workers' time card wasn't signed regularly. I shouted, and most of them were shocked because they haven't seen me getting agitated and all. Oh well.. Now they have seen how foul my temper is, I doubt they'll dare to offend me. HAHAHA. ;/
I'm telling this story for a reason; a message that I want to convey to everyone. If each individual is responsible for their own actions, things would have been so much easier. And this is often deem as one of the most important factor, other than trust and honesty. If ABC has the responsibility to get his time card signed, things wouldn't have been as ugly now.
There is always a consequence to every action made. Every individual has the authority, the power, the control to decide for their own consequences. It may be good, it may be bad. At the end of the day, it comes right back at you and you have to take full responsible of it.
"While we are free to choose our actions, we are not free to choose the consequences of our actions". - Stephen R. Covey.
This doesn't just come off as an entry on its own. It's a message; it's a lesson that everyone should know; it's an aspect that people should be made aware of. I'm in no position to say this, but every individual has full control of your own life.
Think about it..
