I couldn't keep the brown cause I'm going for reservist on 27th September - 14th October. Damn, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a killer, knowing that I have to wake up as early as 6am.
Whatever that is, brush that aside and let's focus on the subject. Tips & Guides to Pulau Ubin.
#1- Do NOT bring a sling bag when you're heading to Pulau Ubin.
You wouldn't want to look like a fool carrying the bag on one side of your shoulder, and the wheels of the bicycle brushes on the bag. It's also tough to balance considering that you've the necessities in your bag- water bottle etc, which weighs a ton!
#2- MUST bring insect repellant.
The mosquito bite is just one of out the many on my body.
All five of us had mosquito bites all over our body. Yes, countless mosquitoes spotted from all over the place. Only with the help of insect repellant will you be able to fend them off. I'm very sure you wouldn't love the idea of scratching yourself all over the body, in addition to the perspiration.
#3- Bring an extra shirt to change!
This is important for hygiene purposes. (This idea only came about when Daniel brought his own shirt to change, but not the rest of us). It feels rather uncomfortable wearing the same shirt after perspiring for as long as.. 3 hours non stop cycling.
#4- Rent bike from Store 31.
According to one of the lady who sell drinks on the road, she advised us to rent our bike from this store itself because it's cheaper, and the quality of the bike are much better compared to the rest of the other stores. So be sure to take note of this.
Nevertheless, we still had fun cycling to different areas and going through the tough terrains- rocky road, puddles of water and mud, up slopes. And the one that I love most, going down slope! Who doesn't?! HAHAHA.
And here's an abrupt ending to this entry. Have a good week ahead! :)
