P/S: It's a relatively image heavy entry and it might take some time to load. PLEASE BE PATIENCE AND WAIT!
We set off from Bukit Panjang at 2115hrs on 07/03/11. Dearest Mon Chao came to meet us for dinner and see us off. How sweet can he be! Like <----------------------------------------------------> this much luh! Anyway, it was almost 3am when we set foot upon Genting. I have to tell you, the temperature was no joke! Throughout the 3 days of our stay, it never go above 18 degrees. Other than having supper after we left our luggage in the hotel room, we retired for the day.
The first day of our little adventure officially starts now!
P/S: Photos weren't edited at all. That's what a Lumix Camera can do! I'm so gonna get my hands on either Lumix, or a DSLR. *Grinsssss*
This is the room number we stayed in. I bought 4D for our room number and guess what?! I DIDN'T STRIKE. :(
And here's my room mate who kept me companied for 3 days- Ben.
Last but not least, a little camwhore session before we're out for our very first meal at the Mushroom Farm!
This is Esther, one of my companion for this trip too!
And not forgetting her room mate, Darren.
We met my dearest Mom and Uncle (stay tune for their sweet moments!) at the hotel lobby because we're heading out for lunch together. Obviously we didn't walk down because it was a quite a long way if we were to go on foot. And so, my mom got us a mini van and took us down. How mini is mini, here you go!
I know I know, it's not entirely mini but still, it's relatively mini okay!
5 mins of travelling and here we are, setting our foot at their very own Mushroom Farm!
ISN'T IT COOL?! Probably to the 3 of them because I've been to this place quite a couple of times. The last time I visited Mushroom Farm was 8 months ago, 3 days after my 21st Birthday!
I guarantee you, it was quite a sumptuous meal (it has always been) and pretty much affordable. If I remember correctly, we had a total of 6 dishes. Don't ask me how much is it cause I don't remember! Just in case you're wondering what's the name of the restaurant, here goes..
And right after our meal, we..
CAMWHORED AGAIN!
Here's two pictures (and ONLY TWO) of my mom's and uncle's picture taken at the Mushroom Farm.
Darren spotted this box that was placed in the corner and guess what, it was filled with 5 puppies. Damn the people who abandoned them!
And the finale of the little trip to Mushroom Farm, yet again another set of our very own camwhoring session!
ONE OF MY MOST FAVOURITE PHOTOS OF ALL TIME!
The rest are relatively nice too!
Esther was running towards the mushroom and said, "I WANNA TAKE A PHOTO TOGETHER WITH THIS MUSHROOM"! Lol! #Epicmoments
AND OUR FIRST GROUP PHOTO, and also the last because we were our very own photographer! :(
That's about it, our very first meal was done. Our next adventure brought us to Strawberry Farm, the farm Ben recommended and it was a total new experience because we get to pluck our very own strawberries! (Not forgetting we ate a few while plucking. IT'S ILLEGAL OKAY!)
In any case you're wondering how did we get there (obviously not by foot!), we had to buy a two-way ticket at the cable-car kiosk and had to sit through the 10-15mins ride downhill! It's was a va-va-voom ride because Darren was scared and Ben was saying stuffs like.. "Isn't it fun if it drops down"?! "Come on, let's drop let's drop"!
While making our way downhill..
Our cable car number!
Darren said we took cable car no. 041 when it was 140. After a mini debating session, he accepted that we took 140 cable car instead.
The fake Rafflesia which doesn't smells at all!
And tadahh! We're almost there! Alighted from the cable car, we had to find our way out of the shopping mall and get a cab to the farm, which the cab driver scammed us because..
(1) The cab isn't running on meter.
(2) It was a very short trip from the Mall to the Farm and we had to pay RM25.
(3) He brought us to this chocolate shop that Ben's friend said was a scam and advised us not to buy a single stuff. (Darren almost did!)
We left the shop as soon as we entered, pretending to tour around and act as though we ain't interested. Got out of that little chocolate shop and hopped on the cab to Strawberry Farm.
You'll see this giant Strawberry Fountain as you first entered. How I wish that was a giant fondue so I could swim in it!
Free entry?! Not exactly right.
It's all measured in grams depending on the number of strawberries you picked. But the price didn't really matter because we started off with..
We were so into the game of plucking strawberries and ended with a full basket of strawberries! These are just some of it.
Once again, what beats having to camwhore in this fantabulous farm! My virgin experience k!
We spotted a few of the nicer-shaped strawberries, and a couple of the ugly ones.
What do you call this? An octopus-los-tic lumpy strawberry?
The apple-shaped strawberry.
And the heart-shaped strawberry.
I don't quite remember how much we spent in total, but overall, it was a really interesting trip visiting the farm. Called the cab uncle to fetch us back, and he had to wait for us cause we didn't know the way to exit it's more than just a straight route. It's more like a maze please!
Stopped by a couple of places to take photos too!
This shop got me so fascinated because it sells different types of kites! I really regret not buying one to Singapore :(
The entire trip took us 2 hours plus!
If you think that's the end of our first day, NOT YET! The second part of this entry will feature more on our day 1 adventure, which I'll blogged about it by this week.
TO BE CONTINUE...
