Before The Worst

Untitled-crop

How many of you actually experienced this and you're feeling the same way as I do? Sadly to say, I just encountered this recently and I'm here to share my story with you.

As some of you may know, I went for a job training at MBS at one of the fine dining restaurants on a Friday evening and I thought everything's gonna be fine. It was until the busiest moment when I did a silly mistake that causes me to reject the job training they're offering me (again) on this coming weekend.

As a fine dining restaurant, all food served to the customers are supposed to be of a high standard and it must be perfectly clean and carefully placed. So, I was holding onto this huge metal tray (which I think it's about 3kg alone), and on top of that, 4 bowls of soup on it, and I was about to walk out of the kitchen to the dining table when the soups spilled on the side of the bowl as shown below.

And guess what the chef said to me..

"ARE YOU STUPID OR WHAT? HUH? HUH"?

I didn't take it to heart because it was busy and I was at fault by spilling some of the soups. I totally accept the fact that I got reprimanded for my mistake. But seriously, it is totally ridiculous when the manager called me today and told me what they had concluded about my performance. This is what he says..

"The chef said you were pretty uneasy during the job. I think it's because you spilled the soup".

SERIOUSLY?! You're judging my performance based on ONE silly mistake I've done? Have you look at my efficiency level as compared to the other part timers? I swear I was one of the busiest walking in and out of the kitchen & floor, clearing trays, ensuring that all things go well and smooth, and ensuring that customers are enjoying their food in a comfortable environment.

And guess what, after thinking through thoroughly, this might not be a place that I'll work long term in. I need a job that I think I'm comfortable in, and not this kind of stale & boring job when everyone just keep to their own grounds and not help out even if they're VERY free. By that, I meant, people standing around and chit-chatting and not help out when they see their colleague is busy. I know it's not your job scope but still.. IT'S TEAMWORK!

I don't deny the pay is attractive and the working hours are pretty much flexible, but I ain't gonna succumb to all these. I wouldn't want to work in a place where I had to drag my feet to work everyone.

Dreading to work = no motivation = lose interest = quit the job = START ALL OVER AGAIN.

If you're still reading up to this point, I sincerely apologize for ranting and thank you so much for reading. =)
