Our very first visit in the afternoon is Taipei 101. BUT BEFORE THAT..
We had our lunch at one of the ramen's store in Xi Men Ding. I wish I remember what the name of the cafe was but I've forgotten. I know you can't tell much from the picture but the beef they served are very tender and juicy. Love it!
And looking at the picture now, I wonder why my focus' on the vegetables and not the beefs. -_-
OH! Can you believe it how stupid I was when I told my bro that I went Taipei 101 on a afternoon? If you don't find anything wrong, you're simply mistaken.
BECAUSE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO VISIT TAIPEI 101 DURING THE NIGHT TO ADMIRE THE SCENERY AND SKYLINE TAIWAN HAS!
Anyway, here's the route to the famous landmark.
Alight at Taipei City Hall MRT --> It's approximately a 10mins walk to Taipei 101
And if you're wondering how Taipei 101 look from far, here goes!
Nothing fanciful. Not to my liking. It's just a building that has 101 floors. Nevertheless, since I'm in Taiwan already, I should visit all places of attractions, yes? ;)
BUT IT'S DEFINITELY A WASTE OF NT490!
On a side note, the wind was great and the temperature was just right for viewing. If Singapore has the kind of weather Taiwan has, how great would that be. One thing's for sure, there's a lot of ch**** on our way there and I simply couldn't wait to shut them up. *** to avoid racism/countryism.
Upon arrival, I find this building rather amusing because it is actually constructed linking to Taipei 101. I don't know how I should explain it. Maybe you should visit the place personally to get the clearer picture.
And this "clock" look-alike that bounds the different countries name were indicated on the floor. *sing We are Singapore, We are Singapore, we will stand together hear the lion roar*. I'm proud to be a Singaporean! :D Imagine I had to undergo the weird stares of people on me when I sat down on the floor for a photo.
Enough talk. It's camwhoring time!
This device allow us to gain history of how Taipei 101 was build and the different places of attractions/sceneries that can be viewed from the building.
Told you. Nothing fanciful cause we went in the noon :(
Thanks to the strong wind, some areas were blocked and our movements were pretty constrained. Therefore, nothing much can be done except enjoying to the winds and camwhoring.
Moving on to the interior of the building, it speaks about the usage of this wind thingy which I have no idea what's it is used for. I swear I'm not enjoying to a single bit of this ;(
It is up to you to decide if you wanna drop by Taipei 101. I could only advise you to do so if you've got time. If not, don't even bother to write this down on your itinerary. NT490 could get you so much better stuffs.
After our visit to Taipei, we have about an hour plus to spare before heading to the night market. And so, we decided to explore the area a bit and so we headed to this place.
Who in the world would go hiking in other countries! Yes, me. I thought it was some place interesting and it took us DAMN LONGGGG to reach! 730m was a f***ing lie!
And I swear I'll never forget this incident on our way there.
Two Taiwanese had a dog with them and they were about to set out on a afternoon when one bicycle was seen riding along the road. The dog saw the bicycle and decided to give it a chase. As much as how the owner shouted, the dog wouldn't even turn back and eventually it turned into a corner and it disappeared from the owner's sight. The owners then ran to the dog and guess what..
You'll make the guess.
This place was even more disappointing than Taipei 101! Nothing can be done except to find a temple and a far view looking at Taipei 101. -end of story- No details needed to be given. Pictures will do the talking.
I'm sexy and I know it! :D
AND FINALLY THE TIME FOR YET ANOTHER SHOPPING SPREE!
Raohe night market x Wufengpu night market
(MUST GO!)
I think the only thing that I'm looking forward to is the shopping at night where you'll get all the cheap goods from. Just the night market alone had me spending so much!
Somewhere along the street in Wufengpu..
And I've decided to get a straw hair to cover my fugly hair cause it was a bad hair day + the strong wind had me going almost crazy.
Look at how tired my face is!
And this beautiful dog we saw during our shopping. 1/5 shops have a dog in the store. Even the stray dogs in Taiwan are cute!
Lastly, one of the superly delicious delicacies in the night market.
Okay, Pardon me for not making much pictures because we were too busy shoppings! :D
And I'm proud to say, at the end of Day 2 ONLY, I had all these with me.
That concludes the end of my Taiwan Trip Day 2 entry. A little boring, but I think it's good enough. AT LEAST I TAKE THE EFFORT TO BLOG OK!
Stay tune for Taiwan Trip Day 3 :D
