But before all these, it is time for us to visit the one of the most renowned place in Taipei, the attraction that one must never miss, the hype that everyone have created.
THE TOILET CAFE!!!
We got up as early as 10am not knowing that the cafe only opens at 1030am on a weekend. If I remember correctly, it'll only open at 11am on a weekday. Guess what? I'm really glad we're there early because not more than 30mins, the cafe's already fully occupied and there's endless phone calls calling in for reservation - FAMOUS indeed.
I love how the interior of this cafe was constructed because it's something that you'll never find in Singapore. Look!
& this mug was given to us upon requesting for one. Well, you gotta pay an extra NT30 if you wanna get it.
Look at us! The happy boys in town :p
Though their dish was expensive, but I think the ambience and how the food was served actually make up for it. Not forgetting the excellent service each and every staff has!
In a toilet bowl. *ewwww*
And the ice cream that looks like the shape of a dung. Delicious though!
& if anyone were to visit Taiwan recently, I've also written comments and dropped it at one of the tables in the cafe. If you managed to find it somehow, I'll give you a biggggg treat! (though I know it's never possible) HAHAHAH.
After lunch, we made our way to Taipei's Zoo, one of the largest I've seen so far. The walking distance from one place to another is no joke. Then again, I wouldn't specially recommend you here since the animals you see are always the same.
On my way..
It's almost an hour's journey from Xi Men Ding to Taipei's Zoo. And finally...
I gotta say the entrance fee is so damn cheap! Unlike Singapore's, this is probably the cheapest so far! Look it up at the internet and you'll be amazed.
Both of us were feeling pretty tired cause we slept late and we had to wake up early. Not only that, god wasn't on our side because it rained halfway through the trip. Blame it on myself cause I went Taiwan on a monsoon season :(
Let the pictures do the talking now.
Probably one of the best pictures I've taken so far! The butterfly park is also the only place that leaves a deep impression throughout the trip. Firstly, we had opportunity to get in close contact with the butterflies. Secondly, there were many beautiful butterflies and it's all flying above us. Thirdly, my friend was so scared of the butterflies and he were practically dodging around :p
The cat-walking bear.
I was so scared to go into this thing. I was so afraid that some bugs or snakes might just go above that thing and it made me feel as though I was really in the soil, with close proximity. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN LA. LOL
Xiong Mao. *heh sho heh sho*
And the beautiful scenery..
WITH ME! HAHAH
HAPPY FEET!
These two bears were fighting when we were there. The bear slammed another one on the glass and it had a loud thud. Imagine the pain.. Poor Yogi bear :(
Now this is disgusting seeing it up close.
And the partially submerged hippopotamus. Damn cool right! I wonder how they constructed this.
We took almost 4 hours to complete the tour! Getting a little dirty, we had to work like a coolie to wash our feets.
& that concludes our trip at Taipei Zoo, with the company of the rain -_-
No time wasted, we then headed to Ning Xia Night Market not knowing that it was all food and no shopping. We were deceived! :(
Not exactly because we get to eat this! :) It was my friend's first time.
SMELLY TOFU IN THE HOUSE YO!
It was seriously a wasted trip! We were so looking forward to it but ended up what we got was disappointment. Lesson learnt- ask before going!
We haven't grab much food for dinner so we headed back to Xi Men Ding. And guess what?
POLICE RAIDED THE PLACE AND ALL THE SELLER HAD TO PUSH THE CARTS AS IF THEY WERE RUNNING AWAY, BUT...
They went back to the same position again after the police left. -___- It was my first time witnessing this incident. I swear I feel as though I'm in the drama ok!
And now, business back as usual with the endless crowds walking down the streets!
This is one of the best photos I love.
Yours truly with the kebab. DAMN NICE. DAMN NICE. DAMN NICE. IT'S A MUST BUY! No joke.
And we did a little shopping at Xi Men Ding before heading back to our hotel for dinner. :)
And this concludes the end of my third day in Taiwan. I hope you've enjoyed reading it so far. Till then!
