All set & ready to travel. It's an 1.5 hours journey.
Come to think of it, we haven't really had anything to eat before travelling. Please, if you intend to get something, eat well & drink less! The bus ain't gonna stop just for you to release yourself.
p/s: Bring a outerwear along cause it's cold up there!
The old streets of Jiufen- You can practically feel yourself living in the past!
They sell stuffs that you'll hardly see along the streets of Taipei. It's definitely a must-go-place!
Hopped around the stalls & tried some of the delicacies at Jiufen.
The lady was kind enough to hand me a mushroom for photo taking. Teeheehee! It's a must try. Personally, I find the taste of the mushroom bizarre, yet delicious!
I was quite fascinated by how the peanut was actually made using this old-fashioned way. It's something I've never seen before.
Ice cream puffs! Not so incredible as compared to the mushrooms.
Not forgetting the old lady who sells a variety of foods. I realized Taiwan has many similar stalls as this. She's so engross with her work.
Of course, we had to do a mini photoshoot in Jiufen due to the magnificent scenery it has to offer. Let pictures do the talking now!
High up the mountains enjoying to the scenery ahead. Gentle breeze brushes along your face; soothing. Describing this is an understatement. You ought to experience this yourself!
Presenting now, yours truly!
Sorry to scare you away with my pictures! HAHAHA. I don't really care cause it's my blog that you're reading now. :p
Random pics.
OH! Did I mention that we went to meet a stranger and he passed us a map to Jiufen, as well as introducing the different attractions to us. It's nice, isn't it? BUT.. We never get to see the attractions he mentioned :(
& so, we walked around and explored Jiufen, trying on even more different delicacies. This is one of the best so far!
IT'S HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO TRY THIS! Trust me.
Look at how beautiful the stray dog is. If only I could bring it home...
On our way down from the summit.
Bypassed this really old traditional theater that was used in the past.
Nothing much in it.
This place that we chanced upon out of nowhere speaks about the gold that was mined during the Japanese invasion, and the history of how Jiufen was found.
The lady sharing with us the different stories of Jiufen.
It was getting late and since Jiufen's stall closes early, we decided to make our way back to Taipei for more night markets! We went back to Shilin again to get more stuffs :D
Spot the difference.
Last but not least, more photos taken by the track. It's my first time taking the train in Taiwan. Definitely different compared to ours.
If you realised, I wasn't wearing any specs when I set foot in Jiufen. This is the specs that I bought. Sad to say, I threw it away yesterday cause it's spoilt already :(
Last but not the least, one of the professional rappers that was doing some performance at Xi Men Ding after our late night shopping. Xi Men Ding is one of the places that's still crowded even late at night.
And that concludes the day 4 of our trip.
I LOVE TAIWAN!!!
